From the Boltzmann equation, the hydrodynamic equations are derived, but this model consumes much computational time for simulation. The drift-diffusion approximation model and the local field approximation model are obtained to simplify the numerical computation, and the approximation conditions of these two models are discussed in detail. The drift-diffusion approximation model gives more satisfactory result for PDP simulation, and the expression of energy balance equation is given completely in this model.
