Neutron spectra of Be(d,n) reaction were measured for deuteron energies from 13.5 to 22 MeV by using a stilbene scintillator detector and flight time technique. A special calibration method of neutron detector efficiency for higher energy portion was adopted. The spectral neutron yield per unit beam charge on the Be target at 0° was determined. The fluence-averaged mean neutron energies of the neutron spectra are given as a function of the incident energy for several thresholds. The measured neutron spectra have an almost same shape at different incident deuteron energies. High energy portion (En>1.8MeV) and low energy portion (En<2.0MeV) of the neutron spectra were separately measured and they were concerned with each other by normalization. The energy range of whole neutron spectra is 0.7 MeV to 30 MeV.

ZrO2 films on NaCl(100) substrate produced by oxygen ion bombardment and argon ion sputtering of Zr are analysed using TEM, XRD and XPS. The result of TEM shows that only cubic phase exists for the ZrO2 film produced by oxygen ion bombardment with 30μA/cm2 and 200eV, while the XRD result shows that there seems to exhibit a small quanitity of monoclinic phase apart from cubic one under the production condition of oxygen ion of 25µA/cm2, 100eV.

The early risk of internal contaminated accumulation of 147Pm is in blood cells and endothelial cells, especially in red blood cells. Then 147Pm is selectively deposited in ultrastructure of liver cells, such as in nucleus, nucleolus, rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria and microbodies. Dense tracks also appear in mitochondria and lysosome of pedal cells within renal corpuscle, and so does in nucleus as well as in mitochondria and microbodies of epicyte of kidney near-convoluted tubule. With the prolongation of observing time, 147Pm is selectively and steadily deposited in subcellular level of organic component for bone. Substantial amount of 147Pm is taken up into the nuclear fraction of osteoclasts and osteoblasts. Particularly, in organelles 147Pm is mainly accumulated in rough endoplasmic reticulum and in mitochondria. Autoradiographic tracks especially localize in combined point between Golgi complex and transitive vesicle of rough endoplasmic reticulum. In addition, numerous 147Pm deposited in collagenous fibre within interstitial of bone cells is hardly excreted.

Scanning tunneling microscope (STM) is used to investigate the optical disc. The areas with and without data stampers are all observed carefully. Three-dimensional images of the disc surface clearly demonstrate the period, depth of the grooves and the shape of data stampers. Some phenomena of STM imaging are also discussed.

Cross sections for K-shell ionization have been measured at electron energies of 0.1-0.40 MeV for Cu and Sn, and of 0.30MeV for Ag. The present results have been compared with theoretical calculations and previously reported experimental values.

Tissues from 30 human pituitary adenomas are monolayer-cell-cultured in vitro. Hormone secretion of GH, PRL, TSH, LH and FSH by cells into medium is detected by radioimmunoassay. The pattern and amount of hormone(s) in the medium are used to determine the nature of the cells and thus to establish functional classification of pituitary adenomas. The results show that cell culture technique provides an easy and suitable mode for investigating the nature of pituitary adenomas. Hormone radioimmunoassay of culture medium is precise and reliable and represents the whole adenoma tissue. Further studies can lead to clearer understandings of the pathology of pituitary adenomas.

A quantitative environmental assessment method and the corresponding computer code are introduced in this paper. By the consideration of all fuel cycle steps, it gives that the public health risk of China nuclear power industry is 5.2 x 10-1 man /(GW•a), the occupational health risk is 2.5 man /(GW-a), and the total health risk is 3.0 man /(GW•a). After the health risk calculation for coal mining, transport, burning up and ash disposal, it gives that the public health risk of China coal-fired power industry is 3.6 man/(GW•a), the occupational health risk is 50 man /(GW•a), and the total is 54 man /(GW•a). Accordingly, the conclusion that China nuclear power industry is an industry with high safety and cleanness is derived at the end.

The Su-Schrieffer-Heeger Hamiltonian and the Hubbard Hamiltonian within the unrestricted Hartree-Fock scheme have been used to study the effects of e-e interaction on lattice distortions and electronic structures of C60-, C602-, C60+, C602+. When the interaction parameter increases from 0 to 3 eV, the bond variables of the C60 molecules are altered slightly, but the polaron energy levels and the charge density distributions of the C60 molecules are modified seriously.

The MOSFETs are built on SIMOX material, the oxide positive charge, interface state, threshold voltage and leakage current of MOSFETs/SOI after 60Co-γ irradiation are measured with I-V technique. The results indicate that the accumulation rate of oxide charge density is more than that of interface state density in dose range of 0-3×104Gy (Si), and the "on" radiation bias is worst case for NMOSFET and PMOSFET.

Twenty five impurity elements in aluminium applied as reactor material are determined. Titanium and nickel are determined with epithermal neutron activation analysis (NAA), magnesium and silicon by inductance coupling plasma emission spectra (ICP), other elements by thermal NAA. The fission coefficient of uranium is given by an experiment, the interferences of uranium to Ce, Nd, Mo, Zr, La, Sm are subtracted. The detection limits of these methods to all of impurity elements in aluminium are calculated.

Non-destructive analysis of some electrum coins from post Gupta period and of coins from different mints of Mughal emperors, Shahjahan and Aurangzeb, have been done by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) using 252Cf neutron source. The elemental content of these coins are determined by comparator method by measuring the activities of the radioisotopes formed after (n,γ) reactions, at their corresponding photopeaks. It is found that identified electrum coins contain copper as a major component and hence can be termed as cupro-electrum coins. As regards the analysis of coins from different mints there is no much variation in silver content while copper content varies from mint to mint. Coins from both the emperors are found to contain considerable amount of gold.

The theoretical prophecy is given on a new chiral allotrope of Fullerene-C80. C80 molecuule should have 3 C2 symmetric axes, which should be vertical each other. C80 should have two chiral allotropes. 13C-NMR spectra of C80 should consist of 20 lines of equal intensity.

The 124Sb in vivo exposed person is measured with whole-body counter. The solid point source method is applied to calibrate the counter. The minimum detectable activity of this system for 124Sb is 32 Bq.
